EASt is the Université libre de Bruxelles research center on (North and South) East Asia. Vanessa Frangville is the founder and director of EASt.
The MSH-ULB (Maison des Sciences Humaines of the Université libre de Bruxelles) is a structure for hosting and supporting interdisciplinary research in the humanities and social sciences. The MSH hosts EASt since 2016.
Related projects
REMOTE XUAR: This project, supported by EU Horizon Widera 2021, is led in partnership with the ULB, the Palacky University Olomouc (project coordinator) and the Würzburg University. It will be funded for three years, starting from January 2023, and will seek to develop a methodology of remote ethnography, to collect data and produce analysis of the situation in the Uyghur region.
